Nissim Ezekiel (16 December 1924 — 9 January 2004) [I] was an Indian Jewish poet, actor, playwright, editor and art critic.
He was a foundational figure in postcolonial India’s literary history, specifically for Indian Poetry in English. She is alwasy saying ‘Yes’; and today she is going to improve her prospects and they are wishing her a happy voyage.

यह कविता भाषण के रूप में है । कुमारी पुस्पा टी एस विदेश जा रही है । इस अवसर पर एक विदाई बैठक का आभोजन किया गया है और एक व्यक्ति भाषण देता है । वक्ता पहले अपने सहयोगियों को मित्र के रूप में और कुमारी पुष्पा को बहन के रूप में संबोधित करता है । वह कहता है कि दोस्तो हमारी प्यारी बहन दो तीन दिनों में विदेश जा रही है। हम उसे विदा करने के लिए यहाँ इकट्ठे हुए हैं । वह उस समावेश के उद्देश्य की घोषणा करता है ।
वह उन्हें पुष्पा की मधुरता के बारे में बताता है, जो सभी जानते हैं। वह कहता है कि वह पुष्पा की बाह्य मधुरता ही नहीं, आंतरिक मधुरता भी बताता हूँ । कुमारी पुष्पा हमेशा हँसती रहती है, हँसने के कारण के बिना हँसती रहती है। वह लगातार कहता रहता है कि पुष्पा उच्च परिवार से और उसके पिता सूरत में प्रसिद्ध वकील थे, हालाकि उसे अब यह याद नहीं कि वास्तव में वह कौन सी जगह है ।
वक्ता को अब वह जगह याद आ जाती हैं। वह कहता है कि वह जगह सूरत था । एक बार वह अपने मामा (ऑन्कल) के बहुत पुराने दोस्त के पारिवारिक सदस्यों के साथ रहा । वहाँ गृहिणी अच्छी तरह से खाना बना रही थी । लेकिन वह बहुत पहले की बात है । वक्ता प्रस्तुत विषय को पकड़कर कहता है कि वह पुरुषों और महिलाओं में बहुत लोकप्रिय महिला है ।
जब भी हम ने उससे कुछ भी चाहा, तो उसने कभी भी न नहीं कहा। मुझसे या किसी से कुछ भी अनुरोध करने पर वह कभी न नहीं कहती । वह हमेशा हाँ ही कहती और वह आज अपने भविष्य को बेहतर बनाने जा रही है और हम उसकी सुखद यात्रा की कामना कर रहे हैं ।
